The Estepona Mural Project was the 1st ever Disney Princess mural I did, it was a fun challenge, I say challenge as I underestimated the amount of work involved when painting Disney. Unlike the typical black lined cartoons alot of the Disney isn’t that way and each outer line is a darker version of the inner colour that it surrounds, which ends up been a lot of work. It was a great project to be able to work on though, painting Disney Princesses is never a chore, I love Disney and was brought up watching the movies, so having the paid opportunity to be able to paint them was superb!!
So as you can imagine this increased the work a lot more, it was just something I didn’t foresee at that time.
I didn’t have a good camera for photographing work back in those days so its hard to pull up a example of the line work from that mural without it becoming horribly blurry, but here’s an example from the Disney Princess mural I did in 2013
All in all I really did enjoy the job, the people were lovely to work for, bringing me plates of select hams, and spiced sausages the very best that Spain has to offer, great coffee. I was treated like a Sultan, spoilt rotten and I loved it 🙂
